2020 has been such a long year, but it is almost over! I know that I am not the only one who has had such a difficult year. However, despite everything we faced and experienced this year, I think that it is still worth it to celebrate the small blessings. So, even though we will be celebrating the holiday season a little differently than the past few years, don’t you think it is worth the effort to get out of our sweats and wear something a little cuter? You do not even have to be too extra with your ‘fits! After all, we are just going to sit in the living room. So, if you feel a little lazy, but still want to look cute, here are some fun and comfy Holiday OOTD ideas.
- The Epitome of Comfy
I know, I know – this is basically our uniform all year ‘round. But, try swapping out your usual gray joggers and baggy sweater for a little something dressier. I decided to go with this cropped white sweater and cream joggers for a really comfy and casual vibe. This outfit is not only cute, it is also really simple and easy. I know that I would want to look cute in this holiday OOTD while pigging out and opening Christmas presents.
- A Monochromatic Moment
So this pair of knee-high boots from Lulu’s are one of my few non-thrift / non-sustainable purchases this year. However, I have already worn it so many times and I know that it will last me a long time. I have worn it at a drive-in drag show in San Francisco and even walking around snowy South Lake Tahoe. And it looks like I am also going to wear it for my Holiday OOTD! One of my favorite outfits to date wearing this pair of boots is this all-black look composed of an old ribbed bodycon dress and some stockings. It is so simple, but I do not think you can really go wrong with black.
- White Dress Usually Does the Trick
This white dress is really one of the most overused pieces in my closet. Those little rugged edges just save this dress from being yet another bodycon dress. Also, as you may already know, white is my favorite color. White just looks so elegant and striking that it is definitely my go-to when I am lazy. So if you do have a white dress, go grab it, pair it with a pair of cute boots – and voila! You have a simple but cute holiday OOTD.
- A Pop of Color
I told you I overuse these boots and I was not kidding! This time, however, I paired it with this simple black skirt and a turtleneck blouse. To bring this outfit a notch higher, I made sure I have a pop of color in my otherwise monochromatic look. This is probably one of my favorite holiday OOTDs because it is pretty much effortless, but it will help you stay cute on the Christmas pictures!
So, if you do not have any money to buy a new outfit for Christmas or you are just too lazy to dress up, try rummaging your closet and find pieces that are similar to the ones I included in this blog. Like I always say, you do not have to spend much on a beautiful holiday OOTD. Just play around with what you already have and make sure that you stay comfortable and warm this holiday season!
